Howl At The Moon
Based on the suggestions of some friendly Chicago natives we met last night, we headed over to West Hubbard Street. In search of a fine establishment, we walked around the street several times. Being a Wednesday night, we didn't expect too much to be going on. We went to the place where we heard the most noise coming out of, that place was Howl At The Moon. It was a piano bar with an outstanding trio of musicians. This place was jumpin' and with good cause. The musicians where straight-up, superb. We heard renditions of Sweet Home Alabama, Snoop Dogg's Gin 'n Juice, Blackstreet's No Diggity, Eminem's Lose Yourself and a bunch of U2 tracks. We even requested our own songs of Tom Petty and the HeartBreaker's Last Dance with Mary Jane, The Killers' Mr. Brightside, and The Foundations's Fill Me Up Buttercup. They were spot on with each song. It proved to be a truly great time!
