Denver was a great city, after a short nap at the Hyatt Regency right across the street from the Colorado Convention Center, we headed to the 16th Street Mall area for some dinner at Marlowe's. Sal and I had some gnocchi while Vlad opted for some rock fish. The food was delicious, it was actually my first time having gnocchi, which is a small ravioli like pasta filled with potatos and spinach, I would highly recommend it.
After dinner we walked over to the Lower Downtown, or LoDo area, which is peppered with nightlife. Still slightly feeling the effects of our all nighter, we kicked off the night with some vodka & Red Bulls at The Tavern. Most of the bars had open rooftops, that offered great views of Coors Field, home of the Colorado Rockies.
We met several Denverites who were all super friendly and interesting and even ran into some South Dakodians who gave us some tips about camping out at Mt. Rushmore.. Other stops on our lap of the LoDo area included Cowboy Lounge and LoDo's Bar & Grill. Denver offers a unique blend of American cultures as there is a slight western feel (Texas influenced?) fused in an urban setting. Overall, a great experience!
