For the last couple of days we've been covering some serious ground from Chicago to St. Louis to KCMO and now to Denver. After cruising down historic Route 66, we've been on I-70 West for what seems like forever. But I've almost grown fond of this never ending two lane highway.
First, the scenery is different from what I'm accustomed to, it's just continuous grass fields with scattered cattle farms, a church here and there, and no shortage of random diner advertisments and religious / political messages. Also, the speed limit ranges from 65 to 75, which is a change of pace to say the least..
Beyond that I think we all felt ourselves drifting off a little during our turns behind the wheel because of the monotony of the road and lack of traffic, but hey, we made it.
Getting into Denver now...time to check out this "mile-high" air
